02 July 2020

Dear Vlammie Family

The Governing Body announces that our school will deviate from the announcement of the DBO.

This implies that all our Grade 10 pupils will be returning to school on Monday, 06 July 2020

According to the Government Gazette 43465 of June 23, 2020, we may merely state that we will deviate from the proclamation. This is 100% in line with our planning and our school is not breaking any law. Other schools in town are doing the same.

We look forward to the return of Grade 10 – 12 pupils. All grade 12s attend school every day, except for Monday, 06 July 2020, there will be no change to their schedule.  The Grade 12 learners will also receive new timetables.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE

All Grade 12 learners must remain at home on Monday, 06 July 2020, to help with the Grade 11 and 10 learners in assisting them orient themselves on their school first day.  Thank you for your co-operation.

Unfortunately, at this stage we cannot include Gr 8 and Gr 9 in the notice.

We are welcoming the Grade 11 and 10 learners on Monday, 06 July 2020.  In accordance with the directive from the DBE only 50% of each grade may be at school to ensure the social distancing between learners is adhered to.  All grade 11 and 10 learners who attended the COVID-19 Orientation on Thursday and Friday are fully equipped to start on Monday.

We will start with Day 1 on Monday, as per each grade 11 and 10 learner’s new timetable. The grade 11 and 10 learners will be attending each day according to their surname:
